The people here
What each of us is working on at the moment.
Everyone can see what everyone's doing.
We all sit in one room, so progress is visible without anyone reporting it. Which is why there are no weekly updates.
What counts is the focused hours.
There are maybe four or five genuinely productive hours in a day, and we try hard not to interrupt them. Meetings are rare, and anything that isn't urgent waits until you're at a stopping point.
Take anything off the board.
If you think you can move something forward, it's yours. You don't have to ask first. If it breaks, we work out what happened together.
Just ask whoever's nearby.
If you have an idea, start on it; nothing waits on approval. We sit down together when there's real context to swap, and half an hour usually covers it.
